If you’re a Time Warner Cable subscriber and own an iPad, then boy, there’s good news for you. The cable giant developed a new app that allows you to stream live TV on your iPad. TWCable TV is a free app that brings more than 30 major cable networks in HD to your iPad. You’re required to have a Wi-Fi connection to enjoy this app.
Watch your favorite shows live, on the couch, in bed, or anywhere in your home.

So you have to subscribe to their internet services, as well as their cable. That doesn’t seem very flexible at all. If I am going to have an iPad app, I would expect to be take it everywhere I go. If I can use this app only on my wifi connection that just doesn’t cut it. There is one app that does allow me to go when and where I want without having to worry about going out of range, and that is the DISH Remote Access. As a customer and employee of DISH Network, I have been using the DRA app and the 922 SlingLoaded receiver for a while now, and I can say that this app is so much better. Using the app and my receiver, I can stream any channel or recorded show to my iPad when and where I have a 3g or wifi connection. If I wanted another TV room in my house, I think I would just get another one installed!
