The users have spoken and Flipboard has listened…and accommodated their requests. The personalized social magazine known as Flipboard has been updated with some new options and content for its iPad app.
Users are now able to add 12 more sections to their home page, up from limit of 9. Offline browsing and automatic refreshing are some more options now making things a little more easier. The speed of Twitter and Facebook interactions seems to have increased and some pages are now more optimized that contain only text and no other media. There also seems to be some media only pages available while flipping through the Facebook section such as pages dedicated entirely to pictures.
Flipboard had a bumpy start when it first was available in July 2010, but within a week or so everybody was online and enjoying this new, personalized social media app that give you everything one may need in such an app. There may be some competition down the road as rumors are floating around for an official Facebook app to be released in the future.
Flipboard 1.0.2 is available now for free in the App Store. It requires an iPad running iOS 3.2 or later.
