As if you didn’t already know, Ebay.com is an excellent service to sell just about anything. So there’s no surprise when Ebay noted that iPad 2 sales on its website amounted to almost 12,000 in the two weeks after Apple’s new tablet launched March 11 and before international sales began March 25.
Compared to iPad 1 sales on Ebay last year, more people sold their iPad 2 within the United States this time around. 65 percent of sales were US based, up from 35 percent in 2010.
The largest number of exports went to Russia and Canada with about 500 iPad 2’s being sold to people in each country.
Overall, the most popular model sold was the 16GB WiFi version with 30 percent of total sales. The next most popular iPad 2 model sold through Ebay was on the other end of the iPad model spectrum. The 64GB WiFi + 3G model was responsible for 23 percent of sales.
