orld of Goo for Apple iPad outsells than Mac, PC, Linux, Wii, Xbox versions

The iPad 2 is (presumably) still months away, and already tech blogs are buzzing about the iPad 3.

According to TechCrunch and Daring Fireball, Apple may be planning to unveil the iPad 3 later this fall. If the rumors are true, the appearance of this next-next-generation tablet would be a surprise, especially as it would come so shortly after the iPad 2, and as Apple usually sticks rigidly to its product development cycles. Given that the original iPad went on sale in April, Apple would be expected to release the second version of the tablet around the same time a year later.

TechCrunch writes,

We’ve now heard that this "fall surprise" is related to this would-be iPad 3. We don’t have any more concrete information beyond that. But, as of right now, the plan is apparently to release one iteration of the iPad in the next few weeks. And then blow the doors open with another new version in the fall.

[…] But Apple has a history of not resting on their laurels. That’s perhaps the key reason why they’ve been so successful in recent years. And that’s exactly why they strike with the iPad 3 in the fall.

Now, I have no details as to what this iPad 3 would include. But one very solid guess is a retina-like display that the iPhone 4 currently has. There’s obviously been many rumors of this for the iPad 2, but it’s not happening yet. But perhaps it could this fall. Another, slightly smaller form factor will clearly be another guess. Steve Jobs has famously played down that idea in the past — but he often does that and turns around with an offering.

In a post on the release of HP’s TouchPad, which should be available sometime "this summer," Daring Fireball’s John Gruber wrote, "If my theory is right, they’re [HP] not only going to be months behind the iPad 2, but if they slip until late summer, they might bump up against the release of the iPad 3."

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that, according to "people familiar with the matter," the iPad 2 was already in production. Read more about the latest iPad 2 rumor here.

One Response to “iPad 3 To Be Apple’s ‘Surprise’ Release This Fall: REPORT”

  1. karf says:

I don’t agree with you that this fall “suprise” will not be for the ipad 3. Firstly, it hears to me that this is going to be a very, VERY special thing. So, I don’t think they will make the iPad 3 “Special”. Sure, it might have a retina display, BUT there are also rumors that the iPad 2 will have a retina display. It’s a rumor, just like this so called retina display ipad 3. So, my belief is that they will maybe announce a new product, or possibly a brand new iOS (Probibly Mac iOS X Lion, or maybe something else), or maybe even a new macbook pro, with more ram, better graphics card, bigger screen, or maybe, a new Mac, with 3- 4 terabites of memory. Anywho, Apple would NOT, EVER EVER, announce (less release) the ipad 3 fall. IMPOSSIBLE. So, expect the iPad 3 next year in fall. If you’r saying:”Yeah, I agree with you for when it’s going to be released, but I believe it’s going to be ANNOUNCED this fall”… Then you are a bitdumb (no offense intended). Why? Because think of it. Let’s just say that the iPad 3 will be released next year in april (99% sure, ok? Well, they would DEFINITLY not announce it this fall. Why? iPad 2 sales would go down like heck. They would do the exact thing what they are doing now. What I mean by this is that if you have noticed, Apple hasn’t announced the iPad 2. Why? Because of sales. Sales would go down like crazy. So that’s why we don’t see an announcment of the iPad 2 now(Expect it around march).

A TOTALLY different possibility is that Apple won’t announce the iPad 2 this march, or april. Possibly this Fall “Suprise” will be the iPad 2, not the iPad 3. Why? Well, the iPad is sort of a notebook-tablet sort of thing. It isn’t an iPod touch or iPhone. It’s the IPAD. So maybe Apple is treating it like a computer, not an entertainment device. So they might update it like their macbook pro’s and mac’s, etc….

This is just a short text of my opinion (Could write PAGES of this).
Anywho, I hope y’all have a good day.
